Encryption is essential for survival in the 21st century digital world. It is the foundation for secure business and trusted streams of communication in the marketplace and society — yet it is not yet widely deployed within the digital economy. Open MIC is working with investors to press companies to deploy the highest levels of data security, especially in light of U.S. government demands that would allow “backdoors” to digital devices and weaken encryption standards.
