Dehumanization, Discrimination and Deskilling: The Impact of Digital Tech on Low-Wage Workers. The Case for Shareholder Engagement

Together with Open MIC, ICCR released a report in September 2024 called: Dehumanization, Discrimination and Deskilling: The Impact of Digital Tech on Low-Wage Workers. The Case for Shareholder Engagement which explores how the deployment of tech in the workplace is negatively impacting workers in a variety of sectors and settings. The report was informed by worker advocacy groups including labor unions, grassroots worker organizations, and academics focused on the intersection of tech and workers' rights.

On February 12th at 11am eastern, there will be a conversation with the report's authors and guest speakers to discuss the findings and investor engagement actions on this topic for 2025.

The discussion will focus in particular on investor engagement opportunities with big tech and its contractors on the human cost of online content moderation.
